Additional Information
SureSet ProResin Non-UVR is a 2 part Aromatic non-UV stable MDI binder suitable for use in Resin Bound Paving creating a permeable surface.</p. The 7kg ProResin (Non-UVR) kit has been designed to be used with a variety of dried 'Aggregate Only' batches' using 3mm, 6mm, and 10mm size stones, and once combined is suitable for many applications including driveways, pathways, patios, and courtyards. ProResin Non-UVR is designed for use in a forced action mixer only*, with the appropriate amount of aggregate. Using a forced action mixer ensures that resin and aggregate are consistently and evenly mixed to deliver a permeable surface.
Why choose our ProResin above others available?
Research carried out prior to setting up SureSet in 1997, revealed that a lot of resin bound paving suppliers only offered a ‘one size fits all’ product which resulted in poor performance and a low-quality surface. Following a thorough assessment of available resins, SureSet found that there was a demand for UV and Non UV stable resins and wanted to offer both of them to the resin bound market in an easy-to-use format. Our polyurethane Aliphatic (ProResin Non-UVR) is a cost-effective option however we must highlight the differences between UVR and Non-UVR. When ProResin Non-UVR is formulated correctly and laid under the right conditions, it will cure to give a strong, non-softening, slightly flexible film, which provides a good bond, however, it is more brittle than our ProResin UVR and will change colour. Non-UVR ProResin is not UV stable and will yellow when exposed to sunlight, ProResin Non-UVR is easy and relatively safe to handle however the cure rate is not controllable, which means you have to work quickly.</p.The key points of SureSet ProResin Non-UVR:
- Formulated in-house
- Resin will yellow over time
- Resin bound will appear darker over time
- Can be used in temperatures from 5°C - 30°C (conditions apply)
- 2-part chemically curing
- Flexible
- No Catalyst required
- Quick curing time
- Cheaper
- Durable
- Aromatic MDI
