Record Breaking Property requires Premium Quality Paving

In 2014 Lily Bridge House, Seagrove Road in Fulham sold for £18 million, this happens to be a record amount given its SW6 postcode. This remarkable property in Fulham, as described by an estate agent as

"a stunning country home right in the heart of south-west London spectacularly positioned in two thirds of an acre of garden"

comprised of a long private driveway, extensive parking, seven bedrooms, four reception rooms, eight bathrooms and separate staff quarters. Naturally, a property of this stature would settle for nothing but the best when it comes to their grand entrance, so in October 2015 SureSet were contacted to quote for the Installation of 329m² to update the property’s driveway.

The challenge faced by our team was to present a surface that both matched the period age of the properties brickwork, was permeable, low maintenance and created the ‘wow factor’ necessary for when the owners were entertaining guests.

An order was placed in September 2016 to complete the driveway element of the works, this was soon followed by discussions of including several pathways around the exterior gardens.

After several site visits with the main contractor MY Construction the final quote was accepted to install 536m² of SureSet’s 6mm Sterling and 6mm Norwegian Bronze Natural Aggregates as well as 115 linear meters of Dural edging, which was all installed in March 2017.

The Final results are as stunning as the property they are installed at, with the Norwegian Bronze broken up with the contrasting strips of Sterling Sliver. The pathways compliment both the aged brickwork of the existing house as well as the crisp clean lines of the new glass conservatory. The contrasting colours used on the driveway help guide vehicles to the designated parking bays and offer a smooth, stable, permeable surface which will look as good in 18 year's time as it did on day 1!
