4. Build a den! not all children or parents like heights or the idea of their child being up there so why not create a less worrying space for play at the base of the tree… make a barrier with a picket fence and include a gate (secret password on entry only!) Fill the space with cushions, and some of their favourite toys - perhaps an outdoor kitchen, go the extra mile and add a canopy using an old bedsheet – they will love it! 
5. Pave around a tree, install your decking around the tree, making it a feature in any public park or talking point at a garden party.
