Sloped Driveway in Somerset

When you work with a product as engaging and creative as resin bound paving it is easy to inspire people through everyday conversations. With the increasing requirement for SUDs solutions in both commercial and domestic paving applications most people will have seen the product on driveways, town centres, around tree pits and in communal areas,  and as part of grand entrances and statement pieces where resin bound paving is used to create logos, wording, and wild and wonderful designs.
SureSet were the talking point
During a New Year’s Eve party in a village close to the SureSet headquarters in rural Wiltshire, resin bound paving became the talking point of the party. Whilst engaging in the usual chit chat SureSet's Duncan was talking about where he worked and what he did, and the mother of a close friend overheard the conversation and was keen to hear more, having seen SureSet installed in various locations.

Sues drive was tired old concrete, and although it was in good condition it was showing its age, and the fact SureSet could be laid straight over the existing surface she was impressed by the minimal disruption this would cause and the instant boost to the properties kerb appeal.

After some further discussions, the seed had been set, and a few days after the party Duncan received a text asking for more information and contact details for SureSet. Karl Drake, of Permastone Paving Ltd, spoke with the homeowner and arranged a home visit to discuss requirements and then provide a quotation, which was duly accepted. The order was for 45m² of 6mm Milk Chocolate, a beautiful blend of Natural Aggregates that would complement the red brick house.

The installation was completed in April 2019 with an overlay of the existing concrete drive. Due to the fantastic customer service of Karl and his team, the owners were in sheer delight at the new lease of life that had been brought to their drive.

The installation included some new brick edging sets around the curved entrance to the drive, and due to the slope of the driveway an aco drain was installed to catch and transfer rainwater to a soak away.
