Pool Surround, Malta

In Southern Europe, situated in the middle of the Mediterranean is Malta, one of the world’s smallest but densely populated countries.  The Westin Dragonara 5-star Hotel is located right on the water’s edge where the sea can be accessed right from the two outdoor swimming pools.

 The Reef Pool which is used exclusively for hotel guests was in need of refurbishment and new surfacing to be laid.  Flock Image Company of Malta were commissioned to bring the area to life using SureSet Permeable Paving.  Brass edging and 3mm Buttermilk was used to create a wide frame around the pool and 3mm Norwegian Pearl was then installed in the surrounding area. 

 The Team from Flock Image along with a visit from our Operations Director, transformed the outlook from the pool and blended it seamlessly into the surroundings.  The permeable nature of SureSet Resin Bound Paving will ensure no puddling or standing water impact on the use and look of the paving and a smooth and attractive surfacing now frames the swimming pool.  With a 5-star product and installation to match the Hotel, there is now a completely beautiful outlook onto the Mediterranean.
