The town of Farnborough is in the borough of Rushmoor in North East Hampshire and recognised as the birthplace of modern aviation. With both Farnborough International Airshow and Farnborough Air Sciences Trust attracting flying enthusiasts from all over the world.
In 2003 planning permission was sought for the demolition of garages at North Farm Road and in 2004 permission granted for the erection of 11 flats in their place – Oakwood House.
Owned by First Wessex, Oakwood House is now a well-established residential community.
Over the years, the young trees planted during development matured and began blocking sunlight from the rear communal garden. This meant that grass wouldn’t grow and children couldn’t play there because it was always muddy.
