On the night of SureShave, our crazy volunteers raised another £182 for the two charities: Headway and Breakthrough Breast Cancer – making a total, so far, of £1324.12!

Even the photographer from our local paper got involved and had his hair shaved!

Roland John Hair Studio supported us with four lovely girls, who volunteered their time to do the important task of shaving.

Nearly everyone from SureSet turned up for the fundraiser, held at the Rose and Crown pub in Warminster, Wiltshire on 13 March and local band, About a Girl treated us to live music.

Now the hard training has started for Jim and Ben who are running the Virgin Money London Marathon on April 26. You can still support Jim, Ben and these two great charities by donating here.

Headway supports adults with traumatic and acquired brain injury, their families and carers.

Breakthrough Breast Cancer is a charity that works to stop breast cancer for good by improving early diagnosis, developing new treatments and preventing all types of breast cancer.

About the event:

On March 13, our fabulous Operations Team are shaving their hair for charity – a SureShave!

The idea grew from our Operations Director, Jim Newton deciding to run the Virgin Money London Marathon in April in support of Headway. Jim chose this charity after a close friend of his received fantastic support from them.

Our Operations Manager, Rachel Parkinson, suggested the SureShave challenge – and persuaded the whole team to join in – and to divide donations with Breakthrough Breast Cancer a charity very close to Rachel’s heart.

The Operations Team (along with Dave and Ned) got right behind SureShave, and the two charities, and agreed to shave their hair.

Everyone at SureSet is getting involved in this charity fundraiser. SureShave will take place at the Rose and Crown pub in Warminster, Wiltshire on 13 March.

The first shave will begin at 7.30pm with hair stylists from the high end hair salon, Roland John taking control of the #sureshave.

From 8pm onwards a Local band, About a Girl, will be supporting the fundraiser by playing on the night – a good opportunity to see our own technical guru Dave Shell in action on guitar!
