We are delighted to add ISO 14001:2015 to our growing list of certifications and accreditations.
To provide assurance to customers, directors and employees that our environmental impact is being continually measured and improved, we decided to work towards ISO 14001 in October 2015. Lauren Gardiner, our Office Administrator, led the process:
“I’d say the most difficult part of the process was the initial stage of assessing all areas of the business for environmental risk. This was time consuming and involved many internal meetings and investigations, but it has been worth it.
I am chuffed to bits to be able to say that we have successfully managed to achieve this. It has not only made everyone more environmentally focussed but it has and will continue to save the company money.”
We worked with CQS to achieve this certification which defines and establishes controls to reduce pollution and waste and improve efficient use of raw materials and energy.
Other benefits include:
- Reducing the impact of environmental incidents
- Improving environmental focus
- Lowering energy consumption
All ISO standards exist to ensure that products and services are safe, reliable and of good quality. ISO 14001 sets out the requirements for an environmental management system to help companies improve their environmental performance through a more efficient use of resources and reducing waste.
